Who Are We?

Ebony Homeschoolers is a Christian homeschool support fellowship established to strengthen and encourage the African-American homeschooling family.

Why Are We?

Ebony Homeschoolers was organized because of the need for African-American homeschoolers to fellowship with one another.  We want to uplift the African-American homeschooling family and touch the heart of each member.

What Are We?

Ebony Homeschoolers is a Christian homeschool support fellowship for the entire family; however, our primary concentration is to support and encourage the homeschooling parent.

What We Do...

Ebony Homeschoolers provides its members with an opportunity to share their homeschooling experiences, exchange teaching techniques, curriculum information, and more.  We provide help and encouragement for our members.  We also provide opportunities for our children to regularly fellowship with one another through field trips, play dates, classes, and more.  Ebony Homeschoolers has also instituted various programs to encourage children to excel through training in character, oration, and physical activities.  Special times have been set aside for our Moms to fellowship beyond the homeschooling issues.  These times have proven to be invaluable!

Ebony Homeschoolers also provides both phone and online communications and updates as well as a newsletter:  The Ebony Voice (publications mailed as needed).      [select a heading]

What We Believe...

Ebony Homeschoolers believes there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His certain return in power and glory.  We believe the Bible to be the infallible Word of God.

What We Are NOT...

Ebony Homeschoolers is not a militant and/or racist group.  Ebony Homeschoolers is not designed as a vehicle to gripe or belittle any other race.  We do not view inflammatory remarks regarding any race as acceptable.  We are not tolerant of conduct or comments that are dishonoring to God.

WE ARE NEITHER A SCHOOL NOR A TUTORING SERVICE.  On occasion, we may provide enrichment classes, e.g. art, public speaking, and other classes to our members.  We do not provide core education such as math, English, science, etc.  It is the sole responsibility of the parents to provide instruction to their own children.

Although Ebony Homeschoolers was established for the furthering of the African-American family in its homeschool endeavors, we are not limited to that single objective.  We are, first and foremost, a Christian homeschool support group.    [select a heading]
